Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can resources under an existing project be migrated to a newly created project?

No. Resources under different projects belong to different basic networks. Migrating a host would involve associated firewalls, routing rules, and other components, which poses significant risks and is extremely difficult to support.

An alternative solution: You can create a custom image, migrate the image to the new project, and then create a new host using the custom image.

2. Can sub-accounts recharge, view, or renew orders?

Only if the primary account (super administrator) grants financial-related permissions to the sub-account can the sub-account perform operations such as recharging, viewing orders, or renewing orders.

Operation Method: Log in to the console with the primary account, go to Access Control - User Management, and assign the UBillFullAccess policy to the sub-account.

3. When inviting a member (sub-account), a prompt appears saying “Email already in use”—what should I do?

Whether it is a primary account or a sub-account, the login account is an email address. Therefore, if the email address has been used to register a Genesis Cloud account before or has been invited as a sub-account by another user, it cannot be reused for the current invitation.

4. If a sub-account is canceled (deleted), will the resources it created be affected?

No, there will be no impact. All resources belong to the primary account, and the costs of resources created by the sub-account are also borne by the primary account.
