Face Recognition Service Agreement
UCloud Technology Co., Ltd. and its affiliates (hereinafter referred to as “Genesis Cloud” or “we”) attach great importance to protecting user’s (hereinafter referred to as “you”) facial information, and we provide you with relevant authentication services based on facial recognition information in accordance with this agreement. The “Face Recognition Service Agreement” (hereinafter referred to as “this Agreement”) explains how we handle and protect your facial information. You can also read “Genesis Cloud Cloud Service Legal Statement and Privacy Policy” to understand our full agreement on handling personal information.
Please carefully read this Agreement and fully understand the content of each clause before using the real-name authentication service. When you actively check the box, click to agree to this Agreement, or use the face recognition service provided by us, it means you have agreed that we process your face information in accordance with this Agreement, and this Agreement will be legally binding on you. If you do not agree to any content of this Agreement or cannot accurately understand our interpretation of the clauses, please do not perform any subsequent operations.
Definition
- Face Information: As mentioned in this Agreement, “face information” refers to face images, videos collected to verify or identify your identity, and facial recognition feature information extracted based on the above images and videos.
- Face Recognition Service: It refers to services that confirm your identity’s authenticity or identity verification for reasons of maintaining the safety of Genesis Cloud’s cloud service account, risk control, etc., through face comparison, document comparison, etc.
- Third-Party Face Recognition Service Providers: Refer to the entities that provide us with face recognition technology services through APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), SDKs (Software Development Kits) or APPs (standalone applications). I. Authorization and License
1.1 In order to review and secure verification of your Genesis Cloud cloud service account that you are applying for real-name authentication, you agree to directly provide us or authorize a third-party face recognition service institution to provide us with your personal information (name, identity document number, identity document photo), facial photos or certification videos for the purpose of comparison and verification of your identity with your face information.
1.2 To complete the face recognition service, you agree and authorize us to provide your name, identity document number to the third-party face recognition service institution for the purpose of verification of your identity with your facial information, and the aforementioned service institution will feedback the identity verification results and information related to verification (facial photos or certification videos, if any) to us.
1.3 To guarantee the accuracy of the verification results, you agree that we and the third-party face recognition service institutions collect, analyze, process, store, and use your facial recognition information, and the photos you voluntarily take, upload, and the videos you film during the use of face recognition services.
1.4 To ensure the security of the verification process and results, you agree that we collect, analyze, process, store, and use the related information of your filming or recording device (including device model, operating system version, device settings, MAC address, and IMSI, IMEI, IDFA, OAID and other device identifiers, device environment, mobile app list and other software and hardware feature information), and service log information, to judge your account risk, detect and prevent security events, avoid fraud, imitation, and info leakage.
II. Protection of Facial Information
2.1 We have obtained the Level 3 Certification of Network Security Classified Protection and the ISO 27001 Information Security Management System Certification. We have established data security system specifications and implemented security technical measures to prevent unauthorized access to or modification of your personal information, and to avoid data damage or loss.
2.2 We value your privacy and you can view [“Genesis Cloud Cloud Service Legal Statement and Privacy Policy”]( app_legal_agreement / app_private_policy) to learn how we protect your personal information including facial information and learn how you manage your personal information.
2.3 We strive to ensure the effective and normal operation of face recognition related services based on current technical capabilities and will strive to improve the accuracy of face recognition results. But because of the information range, industry technology level, and verification methods are still in the process of improvement, we temporarily cannot guarantee all successful face recognition verification. If you find the verification unsuccessful, you can re-submit face recognition information, or contact us through customer service, so that we can re-verify and improve the level of verification services. Alternatively, you can choose other service methods we provide. To protect your or others’ legal rights, we will suspend providing you with face recognition related functions when we think risks may exist.
III. Your Security Notice
3.1 You shall properly keep your smart terminal devices (such as mobile phones, computers, and smart tablets) and account security to prevent others from binding their face information to your account and causing you losses. All instructions made through face recognition/verification under your account are deemed to be your own operations, and you shall bear corresponding responsibilities.
3.2 If you know or suspect that your face information has been submitted to us without your consent or operation, you shall contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

V. Others
5.1 Please understand that in the process of providing services to you, we may need to make reasonable adjustments to this Agreement based on reasonable changes in circumstances, provided that such adjustments do not affect your rights under this Agreement. At that time, we will notify you by means of announcement on our website or mobile APP client. If you do not accept the revised clauses, you may immediately stop using the relevant services; your continued use will be deemed as acceptance and agreement to the revised Agreement.
5.2 Matters not stipulated in this agreement are applicable to the corresponding terms in “Genesis Cloud Cloud Service Legal Statement and Privacy Policy”. This agreement may exist in multiple language versions. If there is disagreement or conflict between the terms of different language versions, the simplified Chinese version shall prevail.
